Hike01-2022: Ragia Forest hike, Aberdare forest

This 6 hrs nature trail starts from Sasumua Dam in the Aberdare forest and takes you through an adventurous dense indigenous forest ecosystem with thick bamboo zone, steep valleys and river walk to end at a glorious waterfall. The hike then leads back to a second valley section with a mountain cave that was once used as a Mau-Mau hideout. Next to the cave is a second and exciting waterfall with cold and crystal clear mountain waters. The Ragia terain includes some bushy, narrow and slippery sections with steep slopes, Riverside walk on rocks and some muddy trails that lead to caves and to the bottom of the second waterfall.
